On December 12 and 13, 2024, my work as a graphic recorder was entirely focused on prevention and child protection: The nationwide specialist conference “PREVENTION NOW! - Strong Together for Prevention and Child Protection” brought together professionals, advisors, and interested parties to develop pathways for a comprehensive prevention system against sexualized violence against children and adolescents.
With inspiring lectures, interactive workshops, and a concluding panel discussion, the conference provided space for exchange, reflection, and networking. Participants gained profound insights into the challenges and opportunities of prevention work. From Child-Friendly Interviewing to Cyber Grooming Prevention to Self-Care for Professionals, many perspectives were highlighted.
With my visualizations, I captured the central messages of this conference. It was moving to see how many dedicated people from very different fields came together to learn from each other and take action together. I am grateful to contribute a piece to making this valuable work visible through my graphic recording.
The topics were at times tough to digest and highlighted how important it is to bring these issues to the forefront – not only at conferences but in our entire society.
