The 2nd Vienna State Women’s Conference of younion was a truly inspiring event dedicated to strengthening women’s rights and promoting equality. The focus was on the motto: “Equal. Self-determined. Violence-free: Living.”
As a graphic recorder, my task was to visually capture the discussions and presentations. Particularly exciting was the World Café, where ideas for the next five years were gathered at four tables. The participants discussed which goals should be achieved in the areas of equality and working conditions. These visions were then grouped and presented in the plenary – and I had the privilege of documenting them live in vivid images.
Another highlight of the conference was the panel discussion with Karin Zimmermann (ÖGB expert on women’s policy), Renate Anderl (AK president), and Barbara Blaha (Momentum Institute). Central topics such as fair working conditions and the fight against violence against women were discussed here. My goal was to make the essence of the conversations visually tangible through my graphic recording, providing a valuable complement to the intense discussions and plans for the future. It was a day full of energy, exchange, and drive, which placed the vision of an equal future for all at the center, and I am very happy to have been a part of it.
